Service overview
About
BarChip macro-synthetic fibres replace conventional steel mesh and steel fibres in concrete. Made from virgin polypropylene, they distribute evenly through the mix to deliver structural reinforcement without the corrosion risk that compromises steel-reinforced concrete over time.
With BarChip 48 conforming to EN14889-2, ASTM C1116, VicRoads Section 703, and approved on the Queensland TMR Product Index for Bridges and Other Structures, the system is documented to a standard council and authority engineers recognise on first read. We provide mix design, structural design, application, and QA support across every project we supply.
By combining proven Japanese fibre technology with on-the-ground Australian engineering support, BarChip Fibre is used across residential and industrial slabs, road pavements, track slabs, shotcrete for ground support, and precast elements — including the Gold Coast Light Rail.
