About

Contour 3D is an all-Australian construction technology company founded in 2019 by Nick Holden, building large-scale 3D concrete printers and a proprietary print-grade material called ContourCrete. The system prints walls, structural elements, and complete homes directly from the concrete, layer by layer, eliminating formwork and significantly reducing both construction time and material waste.

In 2023, Contour 3D was awarded the National Excellence in Concrete Award for Technology and Innovation by the Concrete Institute of Australia — a significant recognition of 3D concrete printing as a viable construction technology in the Australian market. The company's flagship project, Genesis, demonstrates the system on residential builds and duplex construction.

Backed by cricket legend Steve Waugh as brand ambassador and developed in collaboration with UNSW on material science, Contour 3D combines homegrown engineering, mechatronics, and material expertise to push 3D construction printing into mainstream Australian building.
